Crowdfunder for legal action

We are crowdfunding to bring an action against the Home Office for inordinate and unreasonable delays in processing the visa applications for a number of Ukrainian refugees.  The applications were made in March 2022, and many are not completed.

UPDATE: 12 May 2022
We have filed for Judicial Review as of 12/05/22.  We have asked for urgent consideration from the Judge. We will update as soon as we hear, as we know many are still waiting to hear about visa applications – in some cases it is  almost 8 weeks. Thank you SO much for your financial support – it makes it possible to seek justice on behalf of everyone.
Huge thanks to Amanda Jones, Great James Street Chambers, and the team at Bhogal Partners for their incredible expertise, dedication and hard work.

  1. Count me in on crowdfunding please. I spent several days finding alternative accommodation for my family who needed to vacate their temporary accommodation last weekend. We have been waiting 4 weeks for 2 adult visas. The visa application system is designed to deter people from applying and persisting to obtain a UK visa.
At this moment, I am embarrassed to be a UK citizen. I feel that had we not Brexited (not my wish) Europe would have kicked us out over this. Priti Patel and the Home Office should hang their heads in shame at the way we are treating Ukrainian citizens when they need us most. Involving my MP has so far had little result. If private companies operated in this way, the UK would be bankrupt. The Home Office get your finger out and get the army in!

  2. The pregnant lady I sponsored is now unlikely to get her visa before she is no longer able to travel. She applied 4 weeks ago. They will not accept her son on her passport even though there is a recent photo stamped by Ukrainian embassy in Bucharest. We are all devastated. I would like to be a part of this class action.

  3. I submitted an application for a family of four on the 19th March, 46 days ago and there has been no direct communication from the visa office. My MP told me they were ‘in progress’ and we would hear shortly; that was 6 days ago, The situation is appalling and I can only believe that the system is designed to keep people out of the UK.
I welcome the class action and would like to be a part of it.
